Mission Statement

IRD is a non-profit research and service organization committed to saving lives through improvements in global health. We seek to create opportunities for scientists and entrepreneurs that maximize the impact of health interventions in low-income communities.

Collaborators

IRD has active collaborative research agreements with the Johns Hopkins University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, McGill University, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of Texas and The Indus Hospital. We have successfully partnered with Johns Hopkins University to bring grants to Pakistan from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation directly and through the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI) and the Program for Appropriate Technologies in Health (PATH). Additional grants procured with other university partners include the British Department for International Development, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the National Collegiate Inventors & Innovators Alliance, and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.
